Formulation of products
In 2017 Ruth led an exciting project at Port Eliot Estate, in Cornwall. The project saw Ruth designing and creating a bespoke herbal infused massage oil, made using 7 native plants harvested from the estate with specially selected essential oils. ‘The Port Eliot Summer Oil’.
The project was conceived by Lady St Germans who called upon Ruth for her expertise to survey the site for the medicinal plants, design and create the product through a CPSR (Cosmetic Product Safety Report). A CPSR is a calculated method and a legal process to formulate a product that can be used on and sold to the public.
The project was a great success and the oil was used on over 400 clients at the yearly event, Port Eliot Festival in July.
If you are thinking of creating a product please be in touch to discuss product formulation, a service now offered by The Cornish Herbalist!
